The weather forecast today of rain across the country and wind was the kind of weather you don’t want when you are rowing. Well the wind was either dead ahead or on the starboard bow. The squalls of rain came over and fashionista Jennifer was eventually forced to wear her deeply unfashionable sailing wellies (and Hayley Cropper Anorak… he he he .. Ed).

Ian & Kath stayed with us all day for the ten mile journey to Great Haywood with Ian bashing the towpath with his collection bucket. As every day so far the public has been very generous towards our cause. Ian bumped into the Captains of the narrow boats present in the Jubilee flotilla on the Thames. 90 miles 132 locks
