Celebrations and Claustrophobia

Forgot to mention yesterday the kind people, who, as on every day, donate money as we pass by. Yesterday we were stopped by a family celebrating a 50th birthday on their boat. Not only did they give us a donation but also a glass of champagne.

Today we began by entering Harecastle Tunnel approx. 1.3/4 miles. We were towed through by Brenda, a fairly claustrophobic experience but not sufficiently scary to start my bowels (which was nice …. for Jen at least!). We have gone a little further than planned today, as the sun shone we thought we would make the most of it. Finishing just past the incinerator in Stoke on Trent, if you know it!!
